AYRES Muffler Brake and Alignment Can Help When Your Cars Get Up and Go Has Got Up and Went!

Ford Ranger catalytic converter car repair

Here is a 1996 Ford Ranger XLT our customer brought in with running concerns. While driving the car there was minimal horse power as well as an unusual noise. The technicians at Ayres Muffler Brake and Alignment noted a melted catalytic converter.

The certified car repairman hoped replacing the catalytic converter would resolve the problem. The noise was gone but the lack of horse power remained. We sent the car over to Integrity Automotive as our technicians believed it could be an engine issue at this point.

At Integrity Automotive they discovered there was a vacuum leak due to a busted hose on the PVC valve. This was discovered by a simple smoke test to the system. The Ford Ranger is now fixed and on its way back to its owner in the Sacramento area.
